THERE Environments Design Director. THERE is one of Australia’s leading design consultancies and this is a rare opportunity to join a smart, ambitious team delivering global, award-winning projects. 

The Environments Design Director will work with top-tier brands across a diverse range of projects – including environmental graphics, placemaking, signage & wayfinding. 

Alongside the Head of Environments, you’ll lead a dedicated team across the whole project lifespan, from briefing and concepts through to documentation and installation. 

You will bring a high-level design aesthetic, with strong conceptual skills in graphic design and placemaking.

You will thrive on being creative and meticulous, and play a crucial role in building on THERE’s renowned, award-winning projects.

You will work closely with the Head of Environments, leading the team’s outputs, mentoring designers and fostering a collaborative spirit.

You will be confident and composed in presentations, and well versed in client interactions.

What we are looking for:

– 5+ years experience in a Senior Design or Design Leadership role

– An award-winning portfolio and high-design aesthetic 

– Strong communication skills – articulate, friendly, confident and collaborative

– Demonstrated leadership ability and track-record in working collaboratively

– Experience in working across multiple projects – with solid experience in environmental graphics

– Adobe Creative Suite skills (essential)

– SketchUp / Blender / SignAgent Pro skills (beneficial)
