Revel at a higher level – Rising over Darling Harbour W Sydney instantly captures the eye with the undulating lines of its futuristic exterior and striking interiors that pay homage to the hotel’s new home.

Nestled atop this iconic monolithic tower sits the new halo of the harbour – 29/30 rooftop bar & kitchen – the poster-child for the larrikin spirit that lives within W Sydney’s walls.

29/30 is Sydney’s rooftop destination for those who like to mix nightlife with the high life. Spread over two floors of W Sydney’s radiant rooftop, patrons find the city’s most lively spot to sip, party and play above it all.

Our design challenge was to bring the F&B venue brand to life throughs unique; brand positioning, naming, and creative visual identity for 29/30 rooftop bar. Architectural ribbons, ambient lighting that resembles glowing coral reefs, and a strong red and blue colour ways – create a luminous beacon for those who know how to drink in style.

The creative solution sees a visually bold and distinct typographic logo that expresses an activated venue, set over 2 levels. Vivid reds and cool blue hues take inspiration from the nightlife reflected in the harbour foreshore below.

The curvilinear bold graphic patterning takes inspiration from the architectural ribbon shapes that form the building itself.
The design outcome welcomes an all-new bold contemporary rooftop bar brand that is equal measures evocative and alluring.
