Virgin Australia Group have landed in a new head office designed to reflect their vibrant brand and award-winning service, whilst capturing a playful spirit of travel and exploration.
The strong brand equity in Virgin’s use of colours is harnessed within supergraphics, with varying intensities of their iconic red and purple used to reinforce a spatial planning approach of public, active zones versus quiet, focused spaces.
This strategy continues with signage that is inspired by visual elements of the airline industry – creating playful moments of surprise to highlight key aspects of the fitout. The characteristic forms of plane cabin interiors become identification signs for staff amenity, whilst the distinctive graphics of an airport runway line the circulation corridors, guiding visitors to their onward destination.
